This 60,000 SF, three-story medical office building is to be constructed in Longview Texas in 2018. The building is primarily intended to house a women’s health center. The architecture of the building incorporates a design vocabulary meant to express the building systems, similar to anatomical systems. Expressed structural cross-bracing is exposed to represent the female X chromosome. As a health center the wellness of the users is a design driver and the large floor to ceiling windows provide ample access to natural light and views to the adjacent wooded area and pond to the west of the site.
